2. I received a citation from a Hartford Officer. Where can I pay the fine?

You must pay all traffic and municipal ordinance violation citations at the Mid-Moraine Municipal Court Office at:

3. I received a parking ticket in Hartford. Where do I pay it?

There are multiple ways to pay a parking ticket.

• Pay at the “Utilities” window on the second floor of City Hall
• Drop your envelope with payment in the drop box located just inside the main doors of City Hall at 109 North Main Street
• Drop your envelope with payment in the drop box located in the lobby on the southwest corner of City Hall off of North Johnson Street.
• Visit the city's ONLINE PAYMENTS page.

4. Can you give me a copy of my driving record?

The Hartford Police Department is not allowed to give out copies of a person's driving record. Wisconsin Administrative Code, Chapter 195 explains how you can obtain a copy of your driving record. You will have to contact:

You must include your complete 14 digit drivers license number, or your complete name, date of birth, sex, or all of the information above.
There is a fee for this service.

5. How are the road conditions?

7. Do I need to register my bicycle?

Hartford Municipal Ordinance 37.01 requires all bicycles in the city to be registered with the Hartford Police Department. There is a 1 time registration fee for each bicycle. The bicycle license is good for as long as you own your bicycle. There is a replacement fee for lost or damaged stickers. Application forms for bicycle registration can be obtained from the Hartford Police Department. We ask for basic information regarding the bicycle and the bicycle owner and issue a license sticker to be placed on the frame of the bicycle. It is important that you provide the serial number of your bicycle. If your bicycle is ever stolen, we will have a record of your bicycle serial number in our file. The department operates 24/7. There is always someone on-duty.

12. How can I acquire a copy of a police or accident report?

Reports are usually available within 3 to 5 working days after the incident and can be obtained by submitting a written request to the Police Department. There is a nominal fee for copies of reports.

14. I found some medication in my child's possession and I don't know what it is. How can I identify it?

Contact the Poison Control Center at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee by calling 800-815-8855 24 hours a day. You will need to provide the nurse with the color, shape, and a description of any insignia or imprints on the pills.

15. I have a private alarm at my home or business. Do I need a permit?

Per Municipal Ordinance 5.10(3)(a), “A permit shall be required annually of each alarm system, or local alarm, on commercial, multi-family, or private premises within the City of Hartford,“ and, 5.10(5)(1) “No person shall install an alarm system, or local alarm, or use or possess an operative alarm system, or local alarm, without having a permit in accordance with the provisions of this subsection.” The form to apply for this permit may be found on our Forms page.
